SAMS

Home Case Studies SAMS

For maximum student academic growth, Abeer Sharma came up with the unique way of enhancing student learning with SAMS (Student Assessment Management System). The project had two basic requirements – Web portal and Mobile Application. The mobile application was a hybrid one that was built using Phonegap.

The scope of the project was split into three sections that consist of – Admin section (Web portal), Student (App) and Examiner (App). The admin page consists of below mentioned:

  • Manage Accessor
  • Manage Batch
  • Manage Question Bank
  • Manage Instructions
  • Manage Student Info
  • Manage Results
  • Whereas students would login to the app with their respective roll numbers and can appear for the exam by uploading the photo. On the other hand, examiner after login would manage the question bank and update the results. So, we can say it’s a doorway to bringing innovation in education sector.

    Challenges we took over

Performance: Generally, hybrid apps add an extra layer between the target mobile platform and source code. This is where we faced an issue of loss of performance but after making all the changes and implanting functionalities we made it work for our prestigious client.

Debugging: Developers possibly have to depend on the framework so that it blends well with the targeted operating system. However, our team did quite well in figuring out the cause and proposed the ideal solution so that everything would be carried out easily and conveniently.

Finally, after overcoming all the hurdles associated with SAMS we did it in an excellent way. Surely the way we are expanding, we are not too far away from reaching highest echelons of growth. The idea generation, planning and executing the plan magnificently has certainly paid off for our Appsimity team.
